Lockdown reality show GROUP SEXT greenlit for OUTtv series

OUTtv, Canada’s only and the world’s first LGBTQ+ television network and streaming platform today announced a full series order of Group Sext, hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race UK alumni Crystal, following the success of the pilot which aired on OUTtv and its streaming platform OUTtvGo earlier this year.
The reality show, produced by Go Button Media in association with OUTtv, gives one Masterdater a shot at finding love through a series of flirty, steamy and memorable texts, picture messages and videos from 10 different contestants. Through a series of rounds, the Masterdater will whittle his potential dates down to just one with the promise of a video call at the end. But, it’s down to the winner to decide if they accept the call… or decline it.
The pilot was cast, shot and edited during lockdown through a combination of multi-level video conferencing, self-shooting and texting. No members of the cast or crew were in the same physical space for any of the production, with Crystal hosting from the UK and the cast joining from their homes across Canada and the US. Production and post-production for the series will also follow this model.
