OUTtv and Air Canada partner to bring Pride to In-Flight entertainment
World’s First LGBTQ+ TV network’s programming will be available to watch on board Summer 2018
Vancouver, BC – 14 JUNE 2018 – To celebrate Pride 2018, OUTtv and Air Canada today announced a partnership that will bring OUTtv content to Air Canada’s enRoute in-flight entertainment system for a summer of Pride themed programming. Starting June 2018, passengers will be able to watch a selection of OUTtv’s LGBTQ+ series and documentaries on Air Canada’s in-flight entertainment system, including episodes of popular series that include RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, Knock Knock Ghost, Hey Qween, The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, Our First Gay Summer Mykonos and the documentaries It Runs in the Family and They Came from Venus. In addition, in the months of July and August new programming will be added, including RuPaul’s Gay for Play, Snow Queen, Safe Country, Changing Keys and Pride on the Tundra. Passengers on mainline Air Canada flights will be able to view OUTtv programming on-board by selecting the OUTtv channel on the Air Canada enRoute in-flight entertainment system. The deal marks the first time that a major airline and an LGBTQ+ broadcaster or streaming service have collaborated.
